Geospatial API and Adobe Aero
To create a cohesive AR experience, we utilized Google's Geospatial Creator API powered by ARCore and Adobe Aero. These tools enabled us to accurately visualize and place digital content within the real-world environment of the Las Vegas Convention Center. By using Photorealistic 3D Tiles from the Google Maps Platform, we ensured that the AR elements blended seamlessly with their physical surroundings.
3D Modeling and Animation
Our team designed and animated fun and expressive 3D models of Android figures. These characters, led by the friendly Android Bot, guided attendees through the booth, providing both navigation and entertainment. Autodesk Maya was used to create the Android Bot character and other 3D props, while Adobe Aero facilitated the final assembly and interactive behaviors.
Rapid iteration and Precision
Tools like Unreal Engine and Cinema 4D allowed us to rapidly iterate and preview the 3D assets in high fidelity, ensuring precise alignment with the real-world location. This approach enabled us to design an experience that was both immersive and accurate, enhancing the attendee journey through the Google booth.
02
Use of Generative AI
We showcased Android's latest generative AI features by creating visually stunning assets, including Generative AI Wallpapers that replaced the facade of the Las Vegas Convention Center. This integration of generative AI added an element of surprise and delight, capturing the audience's attention and encouraging exploration of Generative AI demos throughout the booth.
"I loved the experience! I found it super helpful seeing what demos are in each booth, right on top of the booth, as well as the links to navigation. I wish I could use this beyond CES as well!"

High engagement and
user-friendly access
Seamless onboarding
Attendees accessed the AR experience by scanning a QR code at the booth, which launched the experience directly without an app download. This app-less approach, supported by Adobe Aero's integration with Google Play Instant apps and App Clips, ensured a smooth and frictionless user experience, even in the bustling environment of CES.
Engagement
The AR activation saw high engagement, with over 10k attendees visiting the booth and more than 6k interacting with the AR experience. The average interaction time was 1.5 minutes, demonstrating the compelling nature of the content and the effectiveness of the AR guide in enhancing the attendee experience.
Interactive navigation
The Android Bot provided helpful navigation tips and quick directions to transportation hubs, such as the Monorail and shuttle buses. Interactive panels around the booth introduced key demos and features, helping attendees orient themselves and decide which areas to explore first.
